DATA PROTECTION

PATIENT INFORMATION ON
 DATA PROTECTION

LEGAL REGULATIONS

Dear patient, dear patient,

The protection of your personal data is important to us.
According to the EU Data Protection Basic Regulation (DSGVO) and the Data Protection Act of Switzerland, we are obliged to inform you about the purpose for which our company collects, stores or transmits data.

The information also tells you which rights you have with regard to data protection.

Encrypted sample identity
Upon receipt of a sample, it is provided with an encrypted numerical code, whereupon the customer data is loaded onto the security server and securely locked. Only this numerical code is used for the course of the analysis and the identity of the customer is not visible even to the personnel carrying out the analysis.

Encryption for external analyses
If the sample has to be analysed in an external laboratory, it is provided with an encrypted numerical code before dispatch. In this way, even the laboratories carrying out the analysis do not have access to the customer's identity. Data security is therefore guaranteed even in this process.

PURPOSE OF DATA PROCESSING
Data processing is carried out on the basis of legal requirements in order to fulfil the treatment contract between you and your doctor and the associated obligations.
For this purpose, we process your personal data, in particular your health data. This includes genetic and other laboratory tests, anamnesis, diagnoses, therapy suggestions and findings that we collect.

For these purposes, other doctors or laboratories may also make data available to us (e.g. in laboratory reports). The collection of health data is a prerequisite for your treatment. If the necessary information is not provided, careful treatment cannot take place.

RECIPIENT OF YOUR DATA
We will only transfer your personal data to third parties if this is permitted by law or if you have consented. Recipients of your personal data can primarily be genetic engineering laboratories. These laboratories (within and outside the European Union) treat your data according to the same strict guidelines. The data is transmitted primarily for the purpose of billing for the services provided to you and for clarifying medical questions. In individual cases, data will be transmitted to other authorized recipients.

STORAGE OF YOUR DATA
We will only retain your personal data for as long as is necessary to perform the analysis. Due to legal requirements, we are required to retain specific data for at least 10 years after completion of the treatment.

YOUR RIGHTS
You have the right to obtain information about the personal data concerning you. You may also request that incorrect data be corrected.
In addition, under certain conditions you have the right to delete data, the right to restrict data processing and the right to data transfer.
The processing of your data takes place on the basis of legal regulations. Only in exceptional cases do we require your consent. In these cases you have the right to revoke your consent for future processing.
You also have the right to complain to the competent data protection supervisory authority if you are of the opinion that your personal data is not being processed lawfully.

LEGAL BASIS
The legal basis for the processing of your data is the Swiss Data Protection Act and the European Data Protection Basic Regulation.
